Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, at VA Medical Center.He was born on Oct. 8, 1939, to the late William Reuben and Nellie Curtis Graves. He was known as a great car mechanic, driving fast, and a good friend to all. He was an Army Veteran where he served his country from 1962-1964, a member of Flemingsburg American Legion and Flemingsburg V.F.W., and a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge 1154 where he was past governor.He was known as a great car mechanic, driving fast, and a good friend to all. He was an Army veteran where he served his country from 1962-1964, a member of Flemingsburg American Legion and Flemingsburg VFW, and a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge 1154 where he was past governor.He was known for many years as the owner of Service City in Maysville. He loved UK basketball, his grandkids, listening to his son, Robbie play music, and just enjoying life.He is survived by his wife, Mary Etta O’Daire Graves whom he married December 26, 1964; his son, Robert Lee (Anna) Graves, Jr. of Morehead; two grandchildren, Anna Elizabeth Graves and Abigail Kai Graves; one step grandson, Jason (Brittany) Littleton; two step great-grandchildren, Jaxon Littleton and Landon Martin. He is also survived by a sister, Louetta (Buddie) Curtis of Fairview; mother-in-law, Audra Jane O'Daire; brother-in-law, Jerry Ginnan; sisters-in-law, Mary Ruth Graves and Darlene Poe; a special niece, Angie (Jamie) Black; special great-niece, Amber (Josh) Irwin; great-great-nephew Jordan, whose videos entertained him in the hospital; other nieces and nephews, Gary Graves, Randy Graves, Vickie Walters, Bobbie Jane Land, Jerilyn Kidd, Jeff Ginnan, Mary Jane Hazelbaker, Cheryl Gill McDonald, Jeff Gill, Renea McFee, Brian Gill, Archie “Clay” Poe and Lisa Poe.He was preceded in death by his brother, William Reuben Graves, Jr.;and his sister, Norma Ginnan; sister-in-law, Sharon Gill; brother and sister-in-law, Bonnie and Everett Gill; a niece, Erica Gill; father-in-law, Everett O’Daire; and a step-grandson, Derrick Littleton. She was born in Lewis County, on June 4, 1940, the daughter of the late Clarence and Wilma Spence Ginn.She was a former housekeeper at Maysville Nursing and Rehab.She is survived by her husband, Howard Goodwin; her daughters, Sadonna Hawkins (Bruce), Robin Goodwin and Jill Goodwin, all of Maysville; and a son, Danny Goodwin (Bonita) of Dover. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Amber Walker, Ashley Goodwin, Courtney Conley, Lindsey Conley and Brandon Goodwin; and a great-granddaughter, Grace Walker. She is also survived by her sisters, Nelma Mason of Tollesboro, Charlotte Spangler of Cincinnati; and a brother, Dennis Ginn (Cindy) of Maysville. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Danny, Ronald and Newell Ginn; and two sisters, Iva Dean Ginn and Thelma Flack.Services will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, at Moore and Parker Funeral Home, Maysville.
